Floor Manager Job Description

As the Floor Manager you are employed to ensure that all customers waiting for the internet or a sales person are attended to and to keep the store neat and tidy. You are also expected to talk to all the customers in the store to find sales for local tours and packages.

A very important part of your job is to ensure that the vibe in the store is kept high and fun. Talk to customers, have fun with them, befriend them, make them comfortable and make your day more enjoyable.

Opening Shift

Arrive 5 mins before shift starts.
Sign in on sign in sheet, including first and last names, mobile
Check with sales staff for anything that they may need to be done

Daily Duties
Always meet and greet every customer with a happy and friendly approach
Man the internet and work the room
Highlight customers wanting to speak to a travel consultant and write what they are interested in doing next to their name.
Keep travel consultants up to date with who is next in line to be served
Complete Photoshop CD coping in quieter times
Keep things generally tidy in and outside the store
Sticker and put away new brochures
Ordering new stock as needed: brochures, stationary, flyers etc.
Print and restock packages, calendars, booking sheets & local accommodation list.
Top up water container
Closing Procedures
Put away all loose brochures, including those under the counters and those left around the shop

General tidy:

Sweep Floor
Straighten up table
Sweep and tidy outside areas
Change bins
Dust & wipe down computer counters, keyboards and monitors
Straighten computer chairs
Clean and straighten up sales desk
