    Bonjour!

    Quote:
    Dear Mr -,

    Thank you for your email in relation to your electronic working holiday
    (subclass 417) visa.

    Your Working Holiday visa expires on 5 September 2009. If you are not
    intending to travel to Australia before this date on your Working
    Holiday Visa or any other visa, it is not necessary for your working
    holiday visa to be cancelled as the visa will cease to be in effect on 5
    September 2009.

    After the visa ceases to be in effect, provided that you have not
    previously entered Australia on your working holiday visa, you may still
    be eligible to apply for another working holiday visa at a later stage.

    To be eligible for a working holiday visa, you must:

    hold a valid travel document of an arrangement country;
    be aged between 18 and 30 years of age at the time of application;
    not be accompanied by dependent children during your stay in
    Australia;
    have not previously entered Australia on a working holiday visa
    (on a passport of any country);
    meet health and character requirements; and
    be outside Australia at the time of visa application and grant.

    If you wish to travel to Australia for tourism or other purposes before
    5 September 2009, you will need to apply for a more appropriate visa.
    If you travel to and enter Australia while your working holiday visa is
    still in effect, you will be taken to have entered Australia on your
    working holiday visa and you will be unable to apply for another working
    holiday visa in the future.

    General information on Australia’s visa options and requirements is
    available on the Department’s website at:
    http://www.immi.gov.au/immigration.htm or please contact your nearest
    Australian Immigration office overseas, or a Regional office of the
    Department in Australia.

    For assistance in finding the right Australian visa option for you, please
    also check out the Visa Wizard. The Visa Wizard is a new program launched
    in September 2008 which allows applicants to find the Australian visa most
    likely to meet their specific circumstances. Access the Visa Wizard at:
